Zoom alternative Say Namaste now on Google Play store & App store : Here’s How to Use

Due to security and privacy issues, the Indian government urged citizens to refrain from using Zoom. The government also asked Indian start-ups to build video conferencing applications from countries. Many startups have come up with their own video conferencing platform in the country – one of them is Namaste, Namaste, developed by Mumbai-based startup Inscript.

The app also allows users to chat via text messages on the app during an ongoing video call. Finally, the file sharing feature allows users to share documents, PDFs, presentations, pictures, video files, and more during video conferences among all participants.

Creating and building a meeting room in Say Namaste is extremely easy. All you have to do is click Start or Join Meeting, create the code and connect.

The app’s description on the Play Store states, “Namaste Namaste is a secure audio and video conferencing app designed for productive meetings or catchups between corporate teams, friends or family members.”

In addition to launching Android apps, the company has also increased the total number of participants who can attend a meeting. The limit has been increased from 25 to 50 now.

If you’re new to the Say Namaste app, here’s how you can use it:

Step 1: Download Say Namaste app from Google Play Store

Step 2: Tap on the Create New Meeting option.

Step 3: Enter your name in the welcome screen and then tap on the Start Meeting option.

Step 4: On the top left corner of the app, you will see a shared icon. Tap on it

Step 5: Now tap on the share button and then select the contact with whom you want to share the meeting ID and meeting code.

Step 6: The app usually uses the front camera, but you can change it by tapping on the button right next to the call button. Alternatively, you can disable the video by tapping on the video button to the left of the button.

Step 7: To disable audio tap on the button on the bottom left corner of the screen.

Step 8: Tap on the button at the bottom right of the screen to see the list of participants.

Namaste CEO Anuj Garg said in an interview to that the company “takes privacy and security seriously and as an organization we are fully compliant with GDPR.”

Suppose the group supports Namaste 50 participants in the video call. The app also has screen sharing, text mode, file sharing and more. Like Zoom and other video calling platforms, the screen sharing option on Say Namaste allows users to easily share screens using a desktop / laptop and the shared screen can be used by all participants in the app itself.

Currently, Say Namaste is downloaded by a 100k user through the Google Play store. The app is listed with 4.5 stars on both the Play Store and App Store. It seems that developers are insisting on regular updates to improve the app experience. The latest update brings call quality optimization, fixed crashes, various bug fixes and enhancements.
