Indian government has Ban 59 apps include Chinese apps like Bain, TikTok, Helo, CamScanner

The central government has decided to ban 59 apps in India, including TikTok, CamScanner. According to the report of ANI, the Government of India has issued this public order to all these apps keeping in mind the unity, defense and security of the states. Banned apps include TikTok short video making app, as well as many Chinese popular apps including DU Recorder, Vigo Video, Likee, Helo. This is a major decision of the Central Government amidst the escalating situation on the border between India and China for the last few days.

TikTok has millions of users in India. Not only TikTok, the Zoom video calling app has also been banned in India. There was a demand to ban these Chinese apps many times in the past. Reports of users’ data being stolen through Chinese apps were surfacing many times. The government has decided to completely ban these 59 Chinese apps to protect users’ data privacy.
