The iPhone has a secret feature that turns the device into a magnifying glass. Not many people are aware of the feature but it exists. Part of Apple’s accessibility features, the magnifier is useful for low-vision senior citizens who often struggle to read the newspaper or small labels at the grocery store.

Here’s how to turn your iPhone’s camera into a magnifying glass.

How to permit Magnifier

  1. To get the feature, pass into Settings>General> Accessibility
  2. Tap “Accessibility.”
  3. Choose “Magnifier.”
  4. Tap the switch next to Magnifier.
  5. Tap the transfer next to Auto-Brightness, in case you need Magnifier to modify brightness and contrast relying on ambient light settings.
How to use Magnifier

Once d one, faucet the button on the right facet of the phone three times to show at the function. In case you are the use of older models, press the house button to enable the magnifier.

The Magnifier feature works similar to you would use the iPhone’s camera app. Point it at the text or item you need to magnify, and take a picture. Now drag the slider to alter the magnification or tap the lock button to lock the focus in place. You can also use the filter out button to apply diverse filters or turn on the flashlight within the Magnifier. There is also the option to freeze-frame and to zoom in and out at the image.

How to manually modify the brightness and contrast in the Magnifier
  • On an iPhone and iPad with a Home button, triple-press the Home button to set off the Magnifier. On an iPhone and iPad with Face ID, triple-click the Side button to activate the Magnifier.
  • Tap the Filters button at the backside right nook of your screen. It looks as if three circles pushed together.
  • Tap and drag the sliders from left to proper until you attain your favored brightness and contrast.
How to invert colorings and filters in the Magnifier

Depending for your needs, you can invert every filter so that the colours transfer. So instead of it being yellow/blue, wherein dark colors appear yellow and light colours seem blue, you get the exact opposite.
