Google Photos has been completely redesigned, with simple interface, brand new logo, new map view and a memory section in the search tab. Google Photos will be rolled out next week for Android and iPhone users with the new design. The ‘For You’ tab which currently contains all of Google’s creations such as movies, collages and animations etc., but Memories will be added after that. In the new Google Photos app, you will now see only three tabs, those are Photos, Search and Library. In the photo section, you will see your old memories along with recent photos.
Only three tabs have been added to the Google Photos interface, removing non-essential content. The first tab is of Photos, in which you will find larger thumbnails, auto-playing videos and less white space between photos. Memories are also a part of the Photos tab, which will refresh your old memories highlighting the best photos of your years old. ‘For You’ has been removed and all content creations on this tab have been shifted to the memory section. This will include automatic creations such as movies, collages, animations, stylized photos, etc.
The Search tab is given a space in between, which gives you quick access to people, places and things. Previously it was present in the Albums tab, but now it has been removed. Apart from this, a new Interactive Map has also been provided, in which you can see the selected location based photos and videos on the map. This feature will work in those devices which have kept their location on or have manually added location with photos. If the user does not want his location saved, the camera can switch off location permission by going to Location History.

This update will be rolled out in Phase Manor, if you don’t want to wait for the update then Android users can download it through APK Mirror.
