Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has launched a new prepaid plan of Rs 251. However, this plan is only available to MTNL’s Mumbai subscribers. In this new prepaid plan, you will get 1 GB of data and unlimited voice calls every day with a validity of 28 days. MTNL will charge 3 paise for every 10 KB of data from its subscribers after the scheduled data is received every day. This prepaid plan of MTNL will compete with Vodafone Idea plan of Rs 299 and Jio’s prepaid plan of Rs 249.
This new Rs 251 prepaid plan of MTNL has been made live on the Mumbai website, in which customers will get unlimited free local and STD calls. This plan will also get 1 GB data and 100 SMS messages every day. This plan is listed with a validity of 28 days. MTNL has named this plan STV 251. However, the company also clarified that special numbers such as 139 etc. will be charged as per the tariff. To provide relief to customers during the corona virus lockdown, MTNL has offered STV 251 recharge through e-recharge, online recharge and SMS recharge portal. Apart from this MTNL also offers many plans for Mumbai subscribers, of which the cheapest plan is STV 98. In this recharge plan, the user gets 750 MB of data every day, unlimited free calls from home network to Delhi NTNL network, etc. Other than Delhi, standard roaming charges are levied on other roaming networks. Apart from this, 100 SMS are also available daily in this plan. The validity of this plan is also 28 days only. However, the company’s most expensive prepaid plan is Rs 1,499, in which customers get 2GB data every day, unlimited free calls from home network to Delhi NTNL network and 100 SMS every day. The validity of this plan is 365 days.
This new Rs 251 prepaid plan of MTNL will compete with Vodafone Idea’s Rs 299 prepaid plan, in which customers get 2 GB data every day, unlimited calling on any network, Vodafone Play subscription and Zee 5 subscription with validity of 28 days Get. Apart from this, Vodafone Idea is also currently offering double data on this plan, in which you get 2GB of data plus 2GB of additional data. At the same time, if you talk about Jio’s prepaid plan of Rs 249, then it offers 2 GB 4G data every day, unlimited Jio to Jio call, 1000 minutes FUP charge on Jio to Non Jio and 100 SMS every day. The validity of this plan is also 28 days only.
