Flipkart is Planning home delivery of liquor in Collaboration with Diageo

Walmart’s e-commerce platform Flipkart has partnered with a startup owned by Spirit giant Diageo for home delivery of liquor in two states of the country. According to the news agency Reuters, he got this information from government documents. Whereas after a few months, another e-commerce company Amazon is also planning to do the same.

According to the IWSR drinks market analysis, the liquor market in India is about $ 27.2 billion. Flipkart and Amazon have brought this new plan to establish their penetration in this big liquor market.

The governments of West Bengal and Odisha have said that Flipkart may be associated with Hipbar, a mobile home delivery mobile application, as a technology service provider.
According to the letter with the agency, Flipkart’s customers will be allowed to access Hipber’s application on its platform.

According to Reuters, Amazon obtained permission for home delivery of liquor in West Bengal in June. After this, Flipkart also joined this race. West Bengal is the fourth most populous state in India. More than 90 million people live here while the population of Odisha is more than 41 million.
