Telecom company Vodafone has started an eSIM-based cellular service in India. With the launch of this service, Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) users will now be able to connect through the mobile network through Vodafone eSIM. Earlier, only Airtel and Reliance Jio were offering eSIM service. The telecom operator issued a statement saying that users can share the Vodafone Postpaid plan with their Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular). This means that you will be able to use Apple Watch for voice calling and data usage through Vodafone’s network.
Vodafone has currently rolled out this eSIM service for select telecom circle users. Currently, people of Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat Telecom circles will get the benefit of this service. Also, this service is currently rolled out only for postpaid users. All smart watches above Apple Watch Series 3 that come with WatchOS 6.2 or above, will be able to take advantage of this service.
